Why outpatient physical therapy?
The goal of outpatient physical therapy is the recovery of mobility and strength so you can return to work and the things you love. Each therapy session will usually include some hands-on manual therapy, posture training, exercise intervention, and injury prevention techniques. Outpatient physical therapy is a very effective way to learn about your condition, recover the use of the effected body part, and leave empowered with the knowledge & techniques necessary to avoid future injury.

How do I get started with physical thereapy?
The physical therapy practice act requires a referral from your Doctor.
PT Practice Act: 887.17. Referrals by physicians and surgeons - Agents - Exceptions

A. 1. Any person licensed under this act as a physical therapist shall treat human ailments by physical therapy only under the referral of a person licensed as a physician or surgeon… and Doctors of Dentistry, Chiropractic and Podiatry, with those referrals being limited to their respective areas of training and practice……

What are your hours of operation and are you open on Saturday?
Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm.
Saturday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

We try to schedule your initial visit as a new patient during a time that the therapist has ample time to evaluate your specific complaints without being interrupted. Typically our busiest times of the day are in the late afternoons, therefore we try to avoid having your initial visit at this time. After your first visit we will be as accommodating as possible with your following appointments.

What type of insurance do you take?
We take all insurances. Feel free to contact us before your visit so that we may call your insurance company to verify your benefits and have that information before we even get started. This information will be conveyed to you in writing up front to avoid any confusion.

How long will I be there ?
All visits range from 60-75 minutes. The paper work is available online to expedite your initial visit.

How often will I come?
This depends on your specific needs, your doctors referral, and your schedule.

What do I need to wear?
We ask that you dress comfortably and sensibly. We try to visualize the involved body part, i.e, with a neck injury: avoid turtle necks, a knee injury: avoid tight pants or skirts, and feel free to bring clothes if you would like to change in our facility.

What should I bring with me?
Bring your prescription for physical therapy; any doctor’s notes or reports; any imaging or X-ray reports; any braces or prosthesis you wear; and shorts if applicable.
